Privacy policy

What Settlis collects when you use settlis.com, why, and what you can do about it.

1. In short

You can read the site without giving us your name or your email address.
We count visits with Google Analytics.
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address and a record of what you agreed to.
We do not sell your personal information, and we show no ads.
Write to support@settlis.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.

2. Who we are

settlis.com is operated by AiDD Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Settlis. AiDD Inc. decides how the information described here is used. You can reach us at support@settlis.com.

3. Visits and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages are used. When you load a page, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives:

the pages you view, and when;
your browser, your type of device, your screen size and your language;
the site that sent you here, if there was one;
your approximate location (country, region and city), worked out from your IP address.

We may also record that an action happened, such as joining the waitlist. We do not send Google Analytics your email address or the text of anything you write.

We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not use it to work out who you are. Google explains what it does with this information on its own site.

To switch analytics off, block cookies for settlis.com in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on.

4. The waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we keep:

your email address;
the date and time you joined, and the page you joined from;
the versions of the Terms of use and of this policy that you agreed to;
whether you asked for product news.

We use it to tell you when what you signed up for is available and, if you asked, to send you product news. We keep it until you ask us to remove it.

5. Accounts

Some tools will need an account. You will sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email address, through Google's Firebase Authentication service. We will then hold:

your email address and an account ID;
if you sign in with Google, the name and picture on your Google account, which Google shares when you sign in;
when you signed in, and the versions of the Terms of use and of this policy that you agreed to;
the strategies you write and the results of testing them.

We never see or store a password for you. Your strategies and their results are private to you unless you choose to share them.

6. What you write in a tool

If you describe a strategy in words, that text is sent to an AI model hosted by Google Cloud, which turns it into settings. When you save a strategy, we store the text and the settings so that you can come back to them.

Do not put personal information about yourself or anyone else into a strategy.

7. Server logs

Like every website, our servers and our hosting provider, Google Cloud, log requests: your IP address, your browser, the address requested and the time. We use logs to keep the site running, to limit abuse such as too many requests from one address, and to look into problems. Logs are kept for a limited time.

8. What is kept on your device

The site stores a few display choices in your browser, such as which sections you collapsed or whether you dismissed a prompt. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.

If you turn on alerts on the Our strategies page, your browser creates a push subscription: an address at your browser maker's notification service. We store it with your choice of alerts, and we use it only to send those alerts. You can turn alerts off at any time in your browser's settings for this site.

9. When you write to us

If you email support@settlis.com, we keep your message and your address so that we can reply and keep a record.

10. What we do not collect

No payment details. The tools here are free, and Settlis takes no money through this site.
No exchange logins and no exchange API keys.
No government ID.

12. How long we keep it

Waitlist and account records: until you ask us to delete them.
Strategies and results: until you delete them or your account.
Analytics: Google Analytics keeps it for the retention period set on our account, and in summary reports that do not identify you.
Server logs and email: for as long as they are needed for the purposes above.

We may keep a record for longer where the law requires it.

13. Your choices

See, correct or delete. Write to support@settlis.com. We will tell you what we hold about you, fix it, or delete it. We may need to check that the request comes from you.
Leave the waitlist or stop emails. Write to the same address.
Switch off analytics. See Visits and analytics above.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, such as the right to object to a use of your information or to complain to a regulator. We will respect the rights the law gives you, and we will not treat you worse for using them.

14. Security

Waitlist and account records are kept in a database separate from Settlis's trading systems, and only our servers can read it. Information is encrypted on its way between your browser and the site.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that ours is.

15. Children

The site is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

16. Where it is processed

Settlis is based in the United States, and the information is processed there. If you use the site from another country, your information is moved to the United States, where privacy law may differ from yours.

17. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the version and the date at the top of this page change with it. When you join the waitlist or create an account, we record which version you agreed to.
